(4/26/11) — Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy recognized Webster Bank's strong support of the Governor's Prevention Partnership (GPP) and its corporate mentoring program during a reception at the Governor and Mrs. Malloy's Hartford, Conn., residence today.
During the event, the governor thanked Jeffrey Brown, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Webster, for the bank's continuing participation as a GPP leadership level donor.
Patty Murphy, vice president, manager of the Central Data Depository and a Webster mentor, attended with Murphy's mentee, seventh-grader Talan Daigle also attended and made a presentation to the audience.
The GPP is a statewide organization chaired by the sitting governor that is focused on raising awareness about bullying and helping schools and communities establish programs to combat the problem.
