(5/21/11) — A team of 21 Webster bankers took part today in the 2nd annual Give Back Olympics fund-raising challenge presented by the Food Bank for Westchester (FBW) at its warehouse in Millwood, N.Y. The annual event aims to reaffirm corporate commitment to end hunger and is open to company teams who want to do something “hands on” to contribute to their communities.
The Webster team joined groups from other firms in packing pinto beans from bulk containers into smaller packages. In all, about 17,000 pounds of beans were packaged for distribution to FBW member agencies. Webster also was a sponsor of the event. FBW has been working for more than 20 years to relieve hunger and raise awareness of the problem in the community.
The following Webster employees participated: Vito Forgione, Joseph Siciliano, Frank Celentano, Brendan Sachtjen, Rachel Mancini, Peter Mosbacher, Nick Marra, Yvette Layne, Anna Bruno, Fred Wilms, Maria Fregurg, Catie McGuigan, Mike Traynor, Franklin Vasquez, Cardon McKenzie, Dave Delgado, Roseanna Power, Christian Proano, Larry Thompson, Mark Chory and Kathleen Reilly.
