(9/13/11) — Webster Bank is a sponsor of today’s 14th biennial Women in Leadership Luncheon held by the YMCA of New Britain, Conn., to celebrate the accomplishments of its honorees.
Held at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, Conn., the luncheon recognizes and honors exemplary women who live and/or work in central Connecticut. Since 1985, these awards have honored more than 450 women for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to corporations, civic and professional organizations, and our community. Since 1995, this event has also recognized young women from area high schools and colleges for their achievements.
The Women in Leadership honorees were: Anna Cardona, Director of Individual and Family Supports, CCARC, Inc.; Shawn Cohen, Director, Plainville Senior Center; Patrice Hill, Youth Program Coordinator, Opportunities Industrialization Center of New Britain; Kim Jackson, Family Education Services Coordinator, Lincoln School; Erin Joudrey, Director of Community-based Care, Klingberg Family Centers; McKenzie Marsh, Student, New Britain High School; Katie Mauriello, Retirement Counselor, Jerome Home; Cheryl Olson, Graphic Designer, Central Connecticut Senior Health Services; Karen Quesnel, Business Services Consultant, Connecticut Department of Labor; Nancy Sarra, Principal, Jefferson School; Inez Vera, Student, Central Connecticut State University; and, Heidi Yanavich, President of the Board of Directors, Literacy Volunteers of Central Connecticut. Past winners from Webster include New Britain branch manager Marlene Michaud and Joyce Petrisko, assistant vice president, public affairs.
