Project Homeless Connect Days in Waterbury, Uncasville and Danbury, Conn.


(10/21/11) — Webster Bank is pleased to be a sponsor of three Project Homeless Connect events in Connecticut, which provide a full day of services to the homeless and those at risk of being homeless through a partnership of citizens, health care, business, civic, and neighborhood leaders.(10/21/11) — Webster Bank is pleased to be a sponsor of three Project Homeless Connect events in Connecticut, which provide a full day of services to the homeless and those at risk of being homeless through a partnership of citizens, health care, business, civic, and neighborhood leaders.

The first two events were held today in Waterbury and Uncasville, Conn., at the Waterbury Armory (photo) and St. Bernard High School, respectively. The third event will be held Dec. 9 in Danbury, Conn., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bill Williams Gym of Western Connecticut State University.

Services include medical screenings, housing assistance, fair housing counseling, credit counseling, banking services, legal assistance, food, clothing and a variety of social and supportive services. Project Homeless Connect initiatives are a part of Ten Year Plans to End Homelessness part of a national model that aim to address the root causes of homelessness.
