CRA/Community Development Grants
Webster provides grants, investments, loans, leadership and technical assistance to community and economic development organizations, focusing on programs that serve low- and moderate-income people and small business development initiatives including programs targeted to women and minorities.
Major areas of support are:
- Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs) and investors that finance affordable housing and small businesses
- Community Development Corporations (CDCs) that develop or promote affordable housing and small business development programs
- Community and economic development planning entities
- Organizations providing credit-access training such as mortgage and homebuyer counseling, financial literacy training and Individual Development Accounts (IDAs).
Guidelines for Submitting a Proposal
The CRA Economic and Community Development Grant Application should be submitted between January and April. Awards will be made in July. CRA guidelines are available by contacting the CRA Officer.
