Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston

The Affordable Housing Program (AHP) allows Webster Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston (FHLBB) to address affordable housing needs in communities across Webster's four state footprint. A portion of the FHLBB's net earnings fund the program, which awards grants and low-interest advances, or loans, through member institutions such as Webster Bank.

The AHP encourages local planning and development of affordable-housing initiatives. Webster Bank works with local housing organizations (sponsors) to apply for funds to support initiatives that serve very low- to moderate-income households in their communities.

The 2013 round of the Affordable Housing Program opens on July 29, 2013. The AHP online application may be accessed by members and sponsors through September 13, 2013. All applications must be submitted electronically to the FHLBB by 5:00 p.m. on September 13. Awards will be announced in December 2013.

How To Apply

Housing organizations that are considering applying for AHP funds should contact Webster Bank prior to April 30, 2013 to discuss the proposed housing development. Prospective applicants are also encouraged to review the following information on the www.FHLBBoston.com web site.
