(5/26/11) — Charlotte Mattei, a business banker in Webster Bank's business and professional banking unit who works in Essex, Conn., will receive the Volunteer of the Year award tonight from Harbor Health Services Inc. (HHSI) of Branford, Conn.
Mattei is a board member of HHSI, which is an organization that provides comprehensive, effective, and efficient mental health and addiction services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders.
According to HHSI: "In Charlotte's three-year tenure as a HHSI board member, she has volunteered her time to help with the organization's "Girl's Night Out Fashion Show" and "Road to Recovery Gala." She has been a consummate advocate for our clients, programs and services, and never passes up an opportunity to speak on behalf of the organization. She has also recruited a group of volunteers from Webster to help renovate the parking lot at our apartment buildings, and consistently solicits donations for our Clothing Bank and Annual Fund. She is the epitome of a dedicated board member and volunteer."
She will receive the award at the organization's fifth annual Road to Recovery Gala and Auction at Amarante's in New Haven, Conn.
